Why should we consider Dale Turner Photography for our wedding?
I am a full time professional photographer. Unlike a lot of people selling themselves as wedding photographers, I don’t have a full time job and ‘do weddings on the side’. I am serious about my work and I consider it a real honour and privilege to be asked to be someones wedding photographer. It is a serious and important role and it should not be undertaken lightly.
I set myself very high standards and from the initial consultation right through to delivering your wedding book I aim to deliver the best possible customer service. I have over 10 years experience in photographing weddings both large and small so you can be confident that I will be a great investment for your wedding photography.
Can we view your previous work?
Certainly, I constantly update both my website images and my sample wedding albums. You can also book an appointment to visit my office, or I can visit you at home where you can view the sample albums of some of my previous weddings. What is your style of wedding photography?
Over the years I have developed a very relaxed, informal and fun style of wedding photography. I give all my clients a friendly, professional and unobtrusive service on their wedding day, capturing things as they happen which leaves you with a story book feel to your final wedding album.
Can your wedding photography packages be changed to suit our needs?
Absolutely. The ‘set packages’ have been designed based on the most popular options. If you would like to customise any of the wedding photography packages please get in touch for an accurate quotation.
Do we need to provide you with food and drink on our wedding day?
No, I bring my own food and drink so there is no need to organise anything for me.
How many photographs will you take?
This depends on which package you require, but typically there will be between 300 and 400 final edited images.
How long will you stay at our wedding?
Believe it or not, some photographers book more than one wedding per day which means they are in a rush to get from one wedding to the next! I have even heard stories of some photographers taking several bookings for the same wedding date and then subcontracting other photographers to turn up in their place! Rest assured I only ever book one wedding per day, this way I am exclusive to you. It also means that it’s first come first served!
Depending on which package you choose I will stay for as long as you need. From the bridal preparation, up to the speeches and cutting of the cake or up to the first dance and beyond, the choice is yours!
Will you visit the venue beforehand?
Due to the large number of weddings I photograph each year I am extremely familiar with a lot of wedding venues, particularly those in the Yorkshire area. If you happen to choose a wedding venue I have not had the privilege to photograph as yet, rest assured a site visit will be made prior to your wedding day. I always make sure I have good knowledge of the wedding venue and I spend a lot of time sourcing out the best locations for your wedding pictures.
When will we be able to see the wedding photographs?
I aim to have your wedding photographs fully edited and in your private online gallery within 2 weeks of your wedding day, usually much sooner. I also like to treat my clients to a special sneak preview of a few shots from the day. This is done via my Facebook Page usually within 24 hours of your wedding (with your prior permission of course!).
Are you insured?
Yes, I am fully insured with public liability and professional indemnity insurance.
What happens if it rains?
If it does happen to rain on your wedding day, don’t panic I have it covered! I never arrive at a wedding without my trusty emergency kit. Alongside the safety pins, sticky tape and spare cufflinks (all of which have been used in the past I might add!), I have a pair of extremely photogenic bridal umbrellas. So together with his and hers wedding umbrellas, some lighting know-how and a good reflection in a puddle I can even make wet weather look pretty fantastic.
How far ahead do we need to book you as our wedding photographer?
I would suggest you book early to avoid disappointment, on average my clients tend to book roughly 18-24 months prior to their wedding date.
I accept a non-refundable deposit of £250 to secure your date, which is then deducted from the total price of your chosen wedding photography package. Once your deposit is paid and your date is confirmed, the final balance is due 28 days before your wedding date. Or if you would prefer to pay in instalments you can opt for an interest free payment plan and pay a certain amount each month. This way you can pay off your balance in the run up to your wedding day and avoid the lump sum at the end.
